Former Secretary to the Federal Government (SGF) and the National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Chief Olu Falae, on Tuesday predicted the fall of all the major mega parties in the country saying they will soon disintegrate.
Falae who stated this in Akure, Ondo State capital during the formal declaration of the former Minister of Defence, Dr Olu Agunloye to SDP said  the mega parties was built on no philosophy and ideology but described the coming together of the politicians as opportunists with the sole aim of sharing government money.
He however said the SDP will be ready to accommodate them after their disintegration but said only if they could comply with the principle and philosophy of SDP.
Falae welcomed all the people of like-mind progressives into the party with an assurance that the party will continue to work towards leading the country to path of greatness.
Speaking during the declaration, Agunloye said he decided to team up with SDP to establish a credible government in Ondo State and to commence reconstruction and restoration programmes for the people of the state.
He lamented the infrastructural decay in the state, in spite of the huge allocation from the Federal Government, saying the people of the state are living in penury.
Agunloye said: "In spite of the income of over N800 billion in seven years, only a few mothers and their children have been catered for. In fact, the percentage of these relative to the population which earned that income is indeed infinitesimally small.
“In spite of what you may term as mega income, we still have roads and fancy government projects that were to be ready in “six to 10 months” not yet completed in seven years; we have an industry which was nearly completed in two years by a previous administration but still not made functional by two administrations 13 years after.
"In spite of the mega income, our state has no industries, it has not created wealth or produced food or employed its youths. In fact, it has unpaid bursaries, unpaid salaries, unpaid pension, unpaid contracts, “unpaid” promises and huge indebtedness to banks and money lenders.
"In spite of our mega income and a few mega schools we still have the preponderance of our schools wallowing in squalor. We may stop the x-raying at this point because we only want to make the point that in spite of our strenuous efforts, we are still not in position to beat our chest or beat the chest of our dog."
Agunloye however said the need to reposition the state and place the state in its rightful place in the Southwest region propelled him to join the SDP, which philosophy looks beyond the current change being experienced in the country.
"It is from the vantage position of my right to power of choice, my constant and unabated interest in the progress and sustainable development of our state, my perpetual desire for youth employment and women emancipation, all of which have been established over a long period that I see a beacon of hope in the Social Democratic Party.
"I stand here before men and God representing a multitude of followers and well-meaning citizens who are looking beyond the current change in political landscape in Nigeria, but asking for change of mind, some form of repentance leading to change of attitude,” he said.
