Three
children of President Muhammadu Buhari, Yusuf, Zara and Halima flew out
to Dubai, United Arab Emirates earlier in the week to celebrate with a
friend, Bashir Haruna, who graduated from the Harriot Watt University,
Dubai.
Yusuf and
22-year-old Bashir had been bosom friends since childhood and the long
journey to the Arabian country together with his sisters earlier in the
week to felicitate with Haruna is seen as a reinforcement of the bond
between the young men.
Expressing
excitement and appreciation to all those who made the historic day
colourful, Bashir took to his Facebook page to pour out his heart.
“I feel
blessed first of all and I thank God for taking me up and second of all I
really appreciate all the people that have been there for me since day
one, done with HWUD for life, moving on to the next step, I shall always
keep my game tight and do my thing right, may Allah continue to guide
and bless us, Amen,” he wrote.
Yusuf,
until now, had largely remained at the background while Zara, his
elegant-looking sister, has soared to prominence since their father, a
former military Head of State, came to power on May 29, 2015 after
winning the March 28, 2015 presidential election.
